Intelligence Minister urges coop with people
9/16/2009 4:38:17 PM
IRI's Intelligence Minister in an exclusive interview with IRIB said he has the idea of an intelligence ministry with 70 million members and has taken it from Imam Khomeini's words. "There was a time that Iran had a population of 36 million, and Imam Khomeini talked about a 36 million member intelligence ministry. Now the population is 70 million, then we should have a 70 million member ministry," Heidar Moslehi said. IRI intelligence Minister also said maintaining relationship with the media in order to have a reliable medium of transferring information is one way to achieve this goal. "One major issue is to earn people's trust so that they feel responsible for what is happening in the country and provide the Intelligence Ministry with necessary information. They should think of the ministry as one of their own," Moslehi said.
